Great junior turnout for local Beachborough Duathlon

20 Team Cherwell Juniors entered the local Beachborough Duathlon with some fantastic results!

A little bit greasy on top for those early starters in Youth and TS3 with a couple of tumbles while going for it on the bike (Richard and Katie mentioning no names!).   The ground dried out and this perfectly prepared surface made for superb racing conditions.  Duathlons are always tough, starting with a longer run, followed by a very technical bike course as always at Beachborough, and then finishing with a shorter run in all categories.

A few of podiums on the day – Well done to all:

Category placings:
Isobel Stuchfield, TSS – 1st
Alex Cross TSS – 3rd
Daniel Roberts, TS3 – 1st
Katie Pamphlett, Youth – 2nd

Highlights (Category placings)

Thomas Roberts, TS1 – 8th
Freddy Ingram TS1 – 10th
Corrie Dale, TS2 – 10th
Mabel Shepherd, TS3 – 4th
Max Morgan, TS3 – 8th

A special mention to Isobel who had a fabulous first run and Corrie for a very strong bike section.

Well done also to Luke Palmer, Oilie and Emily Whiting, Niamh Allen, Richard Churchill, Jake Morgan, Aaron Hamilton, Alfie Ryder, Isobel Compton-Alway, Thomas Fairley and Freya Pamphlett who all put in strong performances on the day against some tough competition.

Good luck to all those racing at Fareham this weekend, another South Central series race, and Buckingham.
