Please ensure you allow plenty of time for arriving at the School, parking, and all your pre-race preparations. The Triathlon will be sign posted off the main roads and there is ample parking which you will be directed to. From arriving, registering and setting up in transition, you should allow 30 minutes.
For people travelling to the School for the first time, it is about 20 minutes from Banbury town centre.
This is a timing chipped event, and the chips will be attached to your left ankle poolside, so they are in place, not forgotten and do not get lost. There will be two qualified Triathlon coaches to assist with the simple attachment of the chips.
In the goodie bag handed out at registration, there will be one sticky label for the horizontal tube on your bike. Please ensure this is in place before entering transition. Also in the bag will be two race numbers. If wearing a T-shirt, they should be secured to the front and back with safety pins, if wearing a race belt make sure they are again secure and when on the bike can be seen from the rear and when running in full view from the front.
No parents will be allowed in transition to assist their children; there are plenty of experienced Marshalls to help all age groups.
The race will start at 9:00 am prompt, and as this is a timing chipped event competitors will be asked to be poolside 10 minutes prior to their start time. There will again be Marshalls to organise the competitors in order and their correct lanes.
No parents will be allowed into the pool area, but there is viewing through a full height glass window at one end.
Please study your race distances for the swim, bike and run, and ensure your child is fully aware of what is required. Note, it is the competitor’s responsibility to count their bike and run laps, however, in the swim, a float will be placed in the pool when there are two lengths to go.
