Southam Triathlon 01.09.19

Despite the threat of a shower, the weather at Southam Triathlon was perfect for racing and perhaps contributed to what was a strong performance from Team Cherwell. The event itself was as well run as ever, with a great atmosphere and support from everyone involved.

Set in a local college a well laid out course offered competitors a short transition from the indoor pool leading to a bike and run course set on grass. A challenging bike course with tight turns tested our juniors’ bike handling skills. Despite the recent rain the
course performed well and any concerns about tyre choice for those on their road tyres were quickly forgotten.

Team Cherwell was well represented across the TS3, TS2 and TS1 age groups.
