Southam Triathlon – 23rd April

There was a fantastic Team Cherwell turnout at the early season local Southam Triathlon on 23rd April.  The sunny but cold conditions not detering the triathletes, with some great racing by all, and podium places for the juniors.

The senior sprint distance race consisted of a 400m pool swim followed by 20km cycle around local roads, and finishing with a 5km run around the college playing fields near the leisure centre.  Competing for Team Cherwell were Andy McDonald, Amy Hinton, Wendy Woodward, and Sue Willis.  As well as Denise and David Shepherd racing for Team Cherwell affiliated Team Dogga!
