Stratford Triathlon 29.09.19

The weather was not particularly kind for what would have been for many, the last race of the season. Plunging temperatures, strong winds and heavy showers made for complex racing conditions.

However, the course stood up well, as did the competitors, and provided a new experience, as this was the first time that the race had been based at the Fire Service College at Morton in the Marsh. The tarmac bike route offered the opportunity for faster than average times, although the slight gradient on the out and back laps, combined with the wind, certainly tested the competitors.

As ever there was a strong Team Cherwell presence, particularly in the TS1 category.
