Track

Track training takes place every Monday from 6pm–7pm at North Oxfordshire Academy, Drayton Road, Banbury, OX16 0UD, with plenty of free parking available.

Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re new to running, looking to improve your pace, or simply want to add some variety to your training, our track sessions are a great way to get fitter, faster and have fun with fellow club members.

Each session starts with a warm-up, followed by a structured, coached session designed to suit all abilities. You’ll run at your own pace, often alongside other members working at a similar level, creating a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

What our members say

Club member Maddie Prendergast was initially nervous about giving track training a go:

“Before I came to a track session with TC I was a bit nervous to try it – I had never done track running before and didn’t know what to expect, or thought I may need athletics experience. I came to a taster session and was immediately reassured that it was something absolutely anyone can do.

“It’s great to come every week and have structured training. The atmosphere is inclusive and without pressure, but it definitely pushes you to try hard by doing the sets in a group. It’s made a huge difference to my running, helped me understand how to pace and is a really fun way to train.”

Why not come along and give it a go? You don’t need any previous track or athletics experience – just turn up ready to run and enjoy being part of the team!
